Lynda.com Videos

Part of the way you learn in this class is by watching Lynda.com videos.

There are 3 account options:

  1. student account. 5 titles I have chosen, $10 per month (about $20 for 8 weeks). The subscriptions begin the end of the first week of class. To subscribe, go to the student login page and enter the class code shown below. You should also receive an email with instructions from Lynda.com as long as WebAdvisor has your correct email address.
  2. Full account. $25 per month for all titles. See lynda.com to sign up.
  3. I have 5 accounts that we can share. This is free and gives you access to all the movies, but only one student can use an account at a time. See http://cis2.cuyamaca.net/jreed/lynda.asp  for details. First come - first served. I'll reply to your email request and add your name to the schedule. When it is your turn, I'll send instructions to you by email.

To control the speed on the quicktime movies you can press alt + click (Windows) or control + click (Mac) on the line between the arrows on the bottom right of the movie window.  Dragging the control that pops up to the right will speed up the playback and pulling it back slightly after speeding it up will allow you to slow down playback.  The controls are very very sensitive, so it takes some finesse and practice.

To understand lynda.com, I suggest you go watch some of the introductory videos for the titles listed below.
