Montica's CIS212 Class Work

Assignments:

• hand-coded html Page monticaboyd In this assignment I learned how to do coding for the webpage. I found it to be interesing and a challenge. But definately fun.


• week3 In this lesson I learned to set page preferences which includes backgound colors, add images, set headings and text attributes. This makes building webpages easy.


• week4 This lesson was fun but definately a challege. But I learned how to add images and link all the pages together.


• week5 This practice was where I learned to link several pages together and set page properties on one page that would change the properties to all pages that were linked together.
• week6 In this weeks practice, I learned how to create and manage external style sheets.



• images In this lesson, I learned how to resize and optimize images so that they would load quickly on the web. I also learned that a gif file size would be twice that of a jpeg for the same image quality.


• title_page created in Fireworks was very easy. And it makes a webpage visually interesting and easy to navigate. Had fun experimenting with the attibutes.


• css_layout Doing this lesson, the reason for taking this class has come together. I did not know webpages could be made with such ease using Dreamweaver. Making otherwise complex design effortless.

• hobby projectI learned to format each div indivdually for this project.


• roll_over_buttons I learned an eashy way to add rollover navigation button.

 

Textbook Lessons:

• dw01lessons Here I learned about the use of tags and how to assign attributes that determine how the page will display in a browser.


• dw02lessons In this lesson, I learned how to set up and maintain a site, add pages with background color, and the all important: organize my file panel.


• dw03lessons This lesson I learned how to add links and text using the Text Insert panel


• dw04lessonsThis lesson was an introduction to using div's and cascading style sheets. I learned how to make all pages in a website look the same by formatting one page then linking alll subsequent pages to it. That would share the same formatting.


• dw05lessons This lesson shows how to form the first page of an entire website. And how to make changes by editing divs.

dw08lessons This lesson was extremely helpful in putting most-used tools the handly favorites. And the use of grids maked the sizing and placing of divs and images on the page very easy!!

dw12lessons I found this lesson the best after css style sheets. Good lesson for feedback or comments
