ERROL OLIVAR'S CIS 212 PORTFOLIO
Here is a showcase of what I learned in CIS 212 'Intro to Webdesign'. I had no previous experience with Dreamweaver, but after taking this online class, I am proud to show to everyone what I learned. Please enjoy some of the work I did this semester!
Projects & Assignments
- Week 2: Hand-coded HTML page -I created a site about myself using basic HTML coding and notepad.
- Week 6: Graphics Project - This project allowed me to futher expand my knowledge with Adobe suite projects by using Fireworks to create jpeg and gif graphicss files. I created from scratch a title and two button images on a website.
- Week 8: Hobby Project - The Hobby Project was a semi-cumulative assignment that brought together all of the different aspects of Dreamweaver we learned to date. We had to create our own webpage with optimized title graphics image and buttons using Fireworks and had to work with various CSS styles to create a website that followed proper color design and screen presentation.
- Week 9: Final Project Proposal - This assignment gave me a real world understanding and application of the pre-design phase of web design and how a proposal would be presented to an investor or owner of a business seeking a professional graphic designer to produce a website
- Week 14: Final Project - The Final Project is a comprehensive application of all the techniques and applications of Dreamweaver into web design.

- Week 4: Practice - Applied what I learned through the textbook and Lynda.com videos to add text, images, links, and external links.
- Week 5: Practice -Took web design a step further by implementing CSS style sheets on a webpage and implementing CSS on other pages.
- Week 6: Practice - This week's practice involved the use of typography and the importance that brings when using various fonts, colors, and sizes to allow you to browse a site in a easier fashion.
- Week 6: Images Lab- Experimented with images by resizing, cropping, and optmizing them to fit properly on a website.
