Animal Advocacy without the Stigma
If you've done any kind of animal advocacy research before, you've probably realized that being a friend to animals has a certain stigma attached to it. If you believe that animals should be treated with dignity, you're branded as a hippie. If you don't eat meat or animal products, some people will feel awkward around you and judge you. If you don't wear fur, people think you're a member of PETA.
While this stigma can't be changed overnight, People for Paws is trying hard to help diminish the judgments that come with advocating animal rights. You can help People for Paws do this by making the content of this website commonplace, sharing it with friends and family. The more people that share and contribute, the more exposure animal advocacy can get, making the issue carry less of a stigma.
