Welcome! This site was designed and developed by Jason M, a student enrolled in the CIS 212: Introduction to Web Development class offered online at Cuyumaca College. The following projects, practice sessions, and labs were all assignments of this class. Please enjoy!
Projects
HTML Hand Coded Page- This assignment proved that web pages can be put together using only limited knowledge of html and a text editor program. It also helped to establish a basic html page structure.
Graphics Project- The objective of this project was to create a title image and button using either Photoshop or Fireworks.
Final Project Proposal- Developing a Site Proposal Plan
Hobby Page- Create a one page website for a potential client. Incorporated what client wanted and principle of design layout.
Practice Sessions
Week 3 Practice- This week was used to familiarize yourself with Dreamweaver. Part of the experimenting included defining sites, starting blank pages, and adding content.
Week 4 Practice- Taking our experiments a little further, we created multiple pages with links, images, and some basic layouts. Check out Page 1 as it has most of the modifications!
Week 5 Practice- Putting what we know into creating a unified multi-page site. Images, headings, and linking to other files in the folder were the main focus.
Week 6 Practice- Using CSS to style our pages and linking all to an external style sheet.
Labs
Image Lab- Utilizing image editing features in Dreamweaver.
CSS Layout- Experimenting with different layout options using templates provided by Dreamweaver. Color was used to demonstrate how the different div's piece together.
