Introduction
The Final Web Site Project is your chance to apply what you have learned in class. You will choose a topic, write a proposal, design your information, produce graphics, and develop the site.
Your final project web site is the culminating project for CIS 212. It will bring together the planning, design, and production skills you've acquired throughout the semester. Your site must have at least 7 separate pages with original content and graphics (you may use clip art, but you should include some original graphics). You will also need to document your sources for information and graphics and cite them on a credits page. Your final project MUST be done using Dreamweaver. You may use Dreamweaver CSS and layouts, but you may not use layouts or CSS from other sites.
Here are some of the milestones for your project:
- choose a topic
- write project proposal
- create prototype (you must have this completed ON TIME to participate in peer review)
- review 3 peer sites (see Moodle email for instructions)
- apply feedback to refine your site
Due dates for the different phases are shown on the schedule.
Before you begin, be sure to browse examples.
Submitting work
- Upload your work to the studentweb server. When you finish the prototype, you can turn it in by submitting your URL. Your final site should use the same URL.
Grading
Your final project score will be based on
- required elements (30%)
- content (20%)
- site structure and usability (30%)
- presentation/appearance (20%)
See the scoring chart for details.
