Spring 2010 courses

CIS 212: Introduction to Web Development

A first course in Web development using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4.  The course includes site and page design principles and basic Dreamweaver functions.  Students create a small web site for a final project.

CIS 213:   Advanced Web Development

A second course in Web development using Adobe Dreamweaver.  The course focuses on database integration and also includes usability and accessibility.

 

Recently Taught Courses

GD 217: Web Graphics

GD 217 covers principles, concepts, and production of Web Graphics using Adobe Fireworks, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.

CIS 211: Mark-Up Languages

In this fundamental course in Web development you will use XHTML and CSS mark-up languages to code web sites. The course includes site and page design principles, layout, tables, forms, images, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Students will create a small site to maintain as their own and more complex site for a final project. The course also requires multiple exercises throughout the semester which develop the skills necessary to publish quality web sites.

ED 214: Developing an Online Course

This course helps teachers learn how to teach online.
